What is Dyslexia ?
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty that affects 4% of the population. Individuals have difficulty with words and numbers but they have normal intelligence and ability.
Dyslexia comes from the Greek language meaning 'difficulty with words'. Dyslexia is a symptom of a number of different 'information processing' disorders in the brain. Because there are so many different possible underlying problems (many of which have yet to be understood fully) it can be difficult to get a diagnosis of the condition.
