What is Tourettes ?


Tourette Syndrome is an inherited disorder affecting the nervous system. The main symptoms of Tourettes include a wide range of unwanted movements and/or noises (TICS)

Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder characterised by tics which are involuntary, rapid, sudden movements that occur repeatedly.

Usually a facial tic, like a mouth twitching or rapid eye blinking, is the first symptom, commonly found. Other common early symptoms can include involuntary limb tics and/or involuntary throat clearing or sniffing.
